AWS marketplace sends notification to customers about FlashGrid product updates. This article explains what those notifications are about and what a customer should do in response to those notifications.
The AWS marketplace notification example:
Subject: Product Update: Upgrade to FlashGrid Cluster for Oracle RAC / SI Database (OL 8) new version
We are writing to inform you that, as of 2022-05-23, FlashGrid will no longer offer versions listed below to new subscribers. Your use and subscription is unaffected for this version(s), however it is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version on AWS Marketplace.
Versions no longer offered by seller:
- FlashGrid-Cluster-OL8-2106-220222
- FlashGrid-Cluster-OL8-2108-220222
- FlashGrid-Cluster-OL8-2111-220222
Explanation (action is NOT required):
AWS sends those messages automatically as soon as FlashGrid submits a new product version to AWS Marketplace, and this situation doesn't affect the product functionality.
The new product version is targeted to the new FlashGrid customers and doesn't affect the existing customers.
Since FlashGrid performs regular updates of the product images at the operating system level, there is no need to take any action in response to such AWS notifications.
