Summary
Recent database patches (including DBRU 19.29) have a bug potentially causing database corruption during a rolling database home update on RAC clusters. This could affect standby recovery too.
Symptoms
- Standby database: ORA-00600 [3020] or ORA-00752 in the alert log
- Primary database: ORA-00600 [3020] and others (see the full list of errors in MOS KB867473)
Affected Versions
Oracle Database 19c in RAC configurations with any of the following versions:
- DBRU 19.29 (and initial release of 19.30)
- DBRU ≤ 19.28 + one-off patch 34352668
