Affected Versions
- UEKR6 (Oracle Linux 8): versions from 5.4.17-2136.346.6.el8uek up to (not including) 5.4.17-2136.349.3.1.el8uek are affected.
- UEKR7 (Oracle Linux 8 or 9): versions from 5.15.0-311.185.9.el8uek up to (not including) 5.15.0-314.193.5.3.el8uek are affected.
Latest Unaffected Versions
- UEKR6 (Oracle Linux 8): 5.4.17-2136.345.5.3.el8uek and below are unaffected.
- UEKR7 (Oracle Linux 8 or 9): 5.15.0-310.184.5.3.el8uek and below are unaffected.
Root Cause
There is a bug in the affected UEKR6/UEKR7 kernel versions.
Workaround
Stay on the latest unaffected versions of UEKR6/UEKR7 or switch to RHCK.
Resolution
- UEKR6 (Oracle Linux 8): update to kernel version 5.4.17-2136.349.3.1.el8uek or newer.
- UEKR7 (Oracle Linux 8 or 9): update to kernel version 5.15.0-314.193.5.3.el8uek or newer.
